. 1930-2013 – Barcelona.
. 1948 – Bachelors degree in the Jesuit School.
. 1956 – Licensed Pharmacist in the Barcelona University.
. 1960 – Establishes Laboratorios Prodes, S.A. and named President of the Board of Directors.
. 1986 – Founds the Fundación Privada Vila Casas (Vila Casas Private Foundation) of which he is the President. The Foundation is dedicated to offering awards and prizes with the aim to help socio-sanitary and research initiatives and in the socio-humanitarian field as well.
. 1993 – Member of the Consejo Social (Social Council) of the Barcelona University.
. 1994 – Named Member of the Hispanic-American Academy of Pharmacy.
. 1995 – Decorated with the Orden Civil de Sanidad (Civil Order of Public Health) in the category of Commander.
. 1996 – Awarded the Jaume de Cordellés Award of the ESADE Association.
. 1997 – Awarded the Real Academia de Farmacia de Cataluña (Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia). Awarded the Gran Cruz de la Orden del Mérito Civil (Grand Cross of the Civil Merit Order). Prodesfarma Holding merges with the Almirall Holding. Named Vice-president of the new Company denominated ALMIRALL PRODESFARMA.
. 1998 – Vice-president of A.N.E.F.P.
. 1999 – Awarded the Cross of Saint George by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
. 2000 – President of the Comissió Assessora de Ciència i Tecnologia of the Generalitat de Catalunya (C.A.C.I.T.) (Advisory Commission of Science and Technology). Publishes “Incentivos fiscales para el fomento y la consolidación de las actividades de Investigación y Desarrollo” (Fiscal incentives to promote and consolidate Research and Development activities).
. 2002/2003 – The Vila Casas Foundation creates cultural spaces for painting and sculpture exhibits in Baix Empordà: Palafrugell (Can Mario) and photographs in Torroella de Mongrí (Palau Solterra); and in Barcelona (Espai Volart).
On the 18th of September, 2002, elected Numbered Academic of the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Saint George having accepted the proposal of Numbered Academics Jordi Bonet Armengol, Leopoldo Gil Nebot and Joan Uriach Marsal. Admitted on the 19th of November 2003 giving a speech on “Ponts de diàleg art-salut” (Links of Dialogue between art and public health).
. 2004 – Named Academic of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia. Winner of the Montblanc de la Culture Arts Patronage.
. 2009 – Inauguration of “Can Framis” in Barcelona, museum of painting. The Vila Casas Private Foundation received the National Award of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya in the category of cultural heritage.
