During this period he collaborated in doing several glazed pieces made by Josep Llorens Artigas and Joan Mir\u00f3. He continued his formation in the workshop of Philippe Rouard (Paris, France) and at Tyra Lundgrens and Gocken Jobs (Sweden).<br \/>\nHe held his first solo show in Barcelona in 1947.<br \/>\nHe always worked in everyday ceramic series from his beginnings until now. He has been the recipient of several awards including the Gold Medal in the Bavarian State Prize in 1980. He collaborated with artists such as Andr\u00e9 Ricard, Javier Mariscal, Perico Pastor, Sybilla, Eul\u00e0lia Coma, Mart\u00edn de Az\u00faa, etc.<br \/>\nIn 1960 he founded La Cantonada group with Jordi Vilanova, Aureli Bisbe, Joan Vila Grau and Jordi Bonet.<br \/>\nHe made several ceramic murals with the painter Joan Vila Grau for the Col\u00b7legi de Metges in Barcelona, Caves Codorniu in Sant Sadurn\u00ed d&#8217;Anoia, Autopistes in Lleida, etc. He also worked in small works for different exhibitions.<br \/>\nHis pottery is displayed in collections around Europe, including the Fine Arts Museums in Barcelona and Valencia, Coburg (Germany), the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge (UK).<br \/>\nHe explored the different possibilities of glaze on potter wheel works. He mainly works in high temperature kilns in a neutral atmosphere in oxidation and also in reduction.<br \/>\nHe has been elected number member of the Academy from January 15, 2003, having accepted the proposal of the numbered academics Fernando Boneu i Companys, \u00c0ngel F\u00e0brega i Grau, and Josep M. Garrut i Rom\u00e0.
