Podria ser que Otero el realitz\u00e9s amb motiu de l\u2019homenatge que l\u2019Acad\u00e8mia va retre l\u2019any 1940 a Manuel Rodr\u00edguez Codol\u00e0, qui n\u2019era el secretari des del 1903, at\u00e8s que Otero i Rodr\u00edguez Codol\u00e0 sempre van mantenir una relaci\u00f3 estreta.<br \/>\nJaume Otero fou deixeble i col\u00b7laborador  de Manuel Fux\u00e0. El 1906 obtingu\u00e9 una borsa d\u2019estudis i se n\u2019an\u00e0 a Par\u00eds i Brussel.les, on torn\u00e0 per segona vegada arran d\u2019un ajut de l\u2019Ajuntament de Barcelona. A Par\u00eds col\u00b7labor\u00e0 amb Albert Bartholom\u00e9.
